Abstract:
The present invention generates a high-quality stereoscopic image. To this end, an imaging device (110) is provided with: a first imaging unit (300); a second imaging unit (310) that is configured so as to output a second image signal having an angle of view and resolution that are equal to or greater than the angle of view and resolution of a first image; an angle of view matching unit (321) that is configured so as to generate an extracted image signal from the second image signal on the basis of a first image signal; an interpolated pixel generation unit (327) that is configured so as to generate interpolated pixels; a parallax information generation unit (330) that is configured so as to generate parallax information on the basis of the first image signal in which resolution has been enhanced using the interpolated pixels and the extracted image signal; and an image generation unit (331) that is configured so as to generate a new image signal on the basis of the parallax information from the first image signal in which resolution has been enhanced.
