Abstract:
Provided are an image generation device, an image generation method, and a program with which it is possible to generate an image that clearly represents a two-dimensional object representing information to be provided to a viewer at a delivery destination and that represents a game play status. An image acquisition unit (162) acquires a game image representing at least a game play status concerning a virtual three-dimensional object, arranged in a virtual three-dimensional space, as seen from a view point arranged in the virtual three-dimensional space, the game image representing content displayed on a display. The image acquisition unit (162) acquires a two-dimensional image to be delivered in which a two-dimensional object to be delivered is represented and which has the same resolution as that of an image to be delivered. A resizing unit (164) generates a resized game image by resizing the game image so as to have the resolution of the two-dimensional image to be delivered. An image generation unit (166) generates an image in which the resized game image and the two-dimensional image to be delivered are superimposed upon each other.
