Abstract:
A location/orientation acquisition unit 250 of an image generation device 200 acquires location information pertaining to the viewpoint of the user. A viewscreen setting unit 252 sets a viewscreen. An original image operation unit 254 calculates a pixel correction amount in a manner such that an object appears to be immobile, on the basis of the amount which the viewpoint moves and the parallax value for each pixel in the original image, and generates, for each of the left and right viewpoints, an image reference vector map which stores, for each pixel, an image reference vector which refers to a pre-correction position on the basis of the coordinates of each corrected pixel. When doing so, depending on the viewpoint, the position being referred to may be the original image from the other viewpoint. A display image generation unit 268 refers to the original image and determines a color value, on the basis of the image reference vector that corresponds to each viewscreen pixel. An output unit 270 outputs a display image.
