Abstract:
Provided is an image generation device comprising an image reception unit, a projection unit, and a panoramic image generation unit. The image reception unit receives camera images respectively photographed by a plurality of camera having a common photographic area. Among the respective camera images received by the image reception unit, the projection unit projects images located below a predetermined horizontal line in the respective camera images (Vpz>0) onto the flat bottom surface of an infinite hemisphere (C(Vpz>0)), and projects images located above the predetermined horizontal line in the respective camera images (Vpz≤0) onto the hemispherical surface of the infinite hemisphere (C(Vpz≤0)). The panoramic image generation unit generates a panoramic image on the basis of the images projected on the infinite hemisphere by the projection unit.
