Abstract:
Provided is an image generation device that generates images for display on a display device, and that includes a processor for executing a program and a memory for storing the program. The processor places a 3D model of an object which exists in a real space in a virtual 3D space, and places, in the virtual 3D space, at least one cylindrical virtual screen that encompasses a prescribed image pickup position. The processor executes computation for mapping, onto the at least one virtual screen, an entire-circumference image picked up from the image pickup position, and generates image data for displaying a birds-eye view of the virtual 3D space in which the 3D model and the at least one virtual screen have been placed.
