Abstract:
An original image obtained by imaging and a rotated image obtained by rotating the
original image are made to be evaluation images. For each of the valuation images,
an inclination of the evaluation image with respect to an axis parallel to a perpendicular
line in the image is evaluated. According to the evaluation result, the original
image is rotated/corrected so as to reduce the inclination. More specifically,
the horizontal edge component of the evaluation image is calculated in a matrix
state and the size of the horizontal edge component is projected in a vertical
direction so as to calculate a vertical projection value QV[n]. The
original image is rotated/corrected in the direction to increase a higher-range component
of the vertical projection value QV[n]. The same applies when a horizontal
projection value QH[m] corresponding to a vertical edge component
is used.
