Disclosed is an image management device (100) provided with an image importance calculation unit (107) which calculates the importance of each image; an image selection unit (111) which selects a high-importance image (Im) and a low-importance image (In); a feature amount correction unit (121) which corrects a feature amount of the low-importance image (In) using a feature amount of an object contained in the high-importance image (Im) and a feature amount of an object contained in the low-importance image (In); an image similarity calculation unit (114) which calculates image similarity using the feature amount of the object in the high-importance image (Im) and the feature amount of the object corrected by the feature amount correction unit (121); and an image importance correction unit (117) which corrects the importance of the low-importance image (In) on the basis of the calculated image similarity.
