Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image-monitoring device and to a method for searching for objects therefor, intended for providing an object search function resistant to a variation, arising from a monitoring environment, in the characteristics of an object detected from a monitored image by enabling a search for the object on the basis of a statistical model of the characteristics of the object. To this end, an object search method for an image-monitoring device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: displaying, on a first region, characteristic values for objects detected from a monitored image and a detected frequency of objects having the characteristic values; searching the monitored image for a frame in which an object having one selected characteristic value from among the characteristic values displayed on the first region has been detected; and displaying the found frame on a second region.
