Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to intuitively and comprehensibly observe the structure of a subject in the depth direction. An image observation device (3) according to the present invention is provided with: a reference image generating unit (8) which generates a reference image on the basis of one or more two-dimensional images of a z-stack image; a frame generating unit (12) which generates a frame that includes, on the reference image, a plurality of window parts covering different small areas, and that is overlapped with the reference image; a frame operating unit (15) which operates a frame to be moved with respect to the reference image; a focus range allocating unit (13) which allocates different focus ranges to the respective window parts of the frame; an omnifocal image generating unit (8) which generates, in a two-dimensional image of an area corresponding to each small area with respect to each small area covered with each window part, each omnifocal image by using the two-dimensional image in a focal range allocated to each window part; an image replacing unit (14) which replaces the reference image in each window part with each omnifocal image based on the different focal ranges; and a display unit (9) which displays the reference image, the frame, and the omnifocal image.
