Abstract:
There is provided an image output device for changing a screen image so as not to make
the user feel discomfort and anxiety. An in-vehicle image output device (101)
receives motion picture data from a content storage (110) via a communication unit
(102) and decodes the data using a decoding unit (103). An effect processing control
unit (106) calculates the time required from receiving the instruction for reproducing
the motion picture data to the start of the reproduction as an effect processing
execution time and controls an effect processing image generation unit (107)
to generate an image transiting from a current screen image to the next screen
image as an effect processing image. A control unit (105) displays the effect
processing image and then switches the output so as to display an image of the motion
picture data.
