Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a technology such as an image pickup control device that, if a user is taking a selfie, enables the user to instinctively select, with immediacy, whether to perform image pickup using an instant shutter function or using a self-timer function. [Solution] An image pickup control device according to the technology of the present invention comprises a control unit. The control unit: causes image pickup guidance, which includes a first object, a second object, and a third object, to be displayed on a screen of a display unit; determines detection of a user operation performed on the first object, second object, or third object; when a user operation performed on the first object is detected, causes an image pickup unit to perform image pickup; when a user operation performed on the second object is detected, causes the image pickup unit to carry out image pickup after the elapsing of a first time period which follows the time when the user operation was detected; and when a user operation performed on the third object is detected, causes the image pickup unit to carry out image pickup after the elapsing of a second time period, different from the first time period, which follows the detection of the user operation performed on the third object.
