Abstract:
A unit group comprising pixel cell rows L1, L2, L1A, L2A arranged alternately in column direction Y is divided into groups BG1, BG2. A defocus amount calculating unit (19) calculates the phase difference of an output signal group of a phase difference detection pixel cell 51R with respect to an output signal group of a phase difference detection pixel cell 51L for BG1, calculates the phase difference of an output signal group of a phase difference detection pixel cell 51L with respect to an output signal group of a phase difference detection pixel cell 51R for BG2, and calculates the defocus amount on the basis of the difference between the two calculated phase differences. A driving unit (10) performs exposure in the order of pixel cell rows L1, L2 for BG1 and performs exposure in the order of pixel cell rows L2A, L1A for BG2.
