Abstract:
This image pickup device has: a first substrate; a second substrate laminated on the first substrate; and a signal processing circuit. The first substrate has: a plurality of first photoelectric conversion units; a plurality of second photoelectric conversion units; and an infrared absorbing layer. The first photoelectric conversion units generate first signals based on first visible light and infrared light. The second photoelectric conversion units generate second signals based on only second visible light. The infrared absorbing layer absorbs the infrared light, and transmits only the second visible light. The second substrate has a plurality of third photoelectric conversion units that generate third signals based on the infrared light passed through the first photoelectric conversion units. The signal processing circuit generates fourth signals by correcting the first signals using the third signals. The signal processing circuit generates visible light image signals on the basis of the second signals and the fourth signals. The signal processing circuit generates infrared light image signals on the basis of the third signals.
