Abstract:
Provided is an image pickup element, which is formed by layering in order at least a positive electrode 21, a positive electrode-side buffer layer 22, a photoelectric conversion layer 23, and a negative electrode 25. The positive electrode-side buffer layer 22 comprises a material having a structural formula (1) that is a combination of thiophene and carbazole.
