Abstract:
The present technology relates to an image pickup element whereby noise can be reduced. This image pickup element is provided with: a photoelectric conversion element; a first amplifying element that amplifies a signal transmitted from the photoelectric conversion element; a second amplifying element that amplifies the output from the first amplifying element; an offset element that is provided between the first amplifying element and the second amplifying element; a first resetting element that resets the first amplifying element; and a second resetting element that resets the second amplifying element. The offset element is a capacitor. Charges are accumulated in the offset element via a feedback loop of the output from the second amplifying element, and an offset bias is generated. The present technology can be applied to image pickup elements.
