Abstract:
The equipment is provided with: an image pickup section (110) that generates image data obtained by picking up an image of a subject; a system control section (150) that automatically determines the chief subject from among subjects contained in the image indicated by the image data that has thus been generated; an operation section (160) that accepts selection made by a user regarding which subject should be selected as the chief subject from among the subjects included in the image indicated by the image data that has been generated; and a display section (170) that displays in superimposed fashion the image indicated by the image data that has been generated and a display of the subject designated as the chief subject. When a subject that is automatically determined by the system control section (150) is displayed as the chief subject, the subject display is different from when the subject that is selected by the user using the operation section (160) is displayed as the chief subject.
