Abstract:
An image pickup optical system which is provided in order from the object side with a first lens group (G1) with positive refractive power, a stop (S), a second lens group (G2) with positive refractive power, a third lens group (G3) with negative refractive power is characterized in that the first lens group (G1) has a cemented lens comprised of a first lens (L1) and a second lens (L2), the second lens group (G2) has a third lens (L3), the third lens group (G3) has a fourth lens (L4), an object side surface of the third lens (L3) is a concave surface on the axis and at the off-axis with respect to the object side, and an image side surface of the third lens (L3) is a convex surface on the axis with respect to the object side and an aspherical surface having one or more inflection points at the off-axis.
