Abstract:
Disclosed, in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, are an image player having a search bar including an event image and a non-event image, and an operation method thereof. The image player comprises: a control unit for determining at least one event image to provide to a user on the basis of event information of a multimedia content played on a main image region, and for generating a search bar including at least a portion of the image information of the event image and the event information located in at least one search image region; and an image output unit for displaying an image played on the main image region and the search bar, wherein the event information can comprise at least one of identification information of the event, occurrence location of the event, contents of the event, priority value of the event, and playback rate of the event.
