Abstract:
The present invention provides an image processing apparatus, an image capturing apparatus, an image processing method, and a program, which are capable of compensating for differences in brightness according to color in a subject, in flash image component data that represents image components of the subject through flash light. In a preferred aspect of the present invention, a flash image component obtaining unit (40) of an image processing apparatus (31) obtains flash image component data on the basis of first image data obtained by capturing an image of the subject in flash light. A flash correction data obtaining unit (42) obtains flash correction data to which differences in brightness in the flash image component data caused in response to the colors of the subject are applied. A flash brightness correcting unit (44) obtains flash image correction component data for which the differences in brightness in the flash image component data caused in response to the colors of the subject, is compensated on the basis of the flash image component data and the flash correction data.
