Abstract:
Halftone processing of an image processing apparatus (32) comprises: subjecting image data of each color corresponding to a portion of ink colors (Y, Lc, Lm, Lk, LLk), comprising at least one color, selected from higher-brightness ink colors among all the ink colors (C, M, Y, K, Lc, Lm, Lk, LLk) of an ink jet printer (1), to dropless-supporting halftone processing in which a minimum number of drops per pixel is made larger than a minimum number of drops in normal halftone processing by which drop data of a number of gradations corresponding to a maximum number of drops per pixel are generated; and performing the normal halftone processing with respect to image data of each color corresponding to other ink colors (C, M, K) other than said portion of the ink colors.
