Abstract:
Provided are an image processing apparatus and method, a dither mask set, and an image recording apparatus capable of preventing occurrence of banding and color irregularities without causing a decrease in productivity. With respect to image data of a first color among a plurality of colors and in a range of at least a partial recording duty, halftone processing is performed using a dither mask that realizes a first nozzle ejection ratio in which a nozzle ejection ratio of end nozzles positioned at both ends of a nozzle line is kept smaller than a nozzle ejection ratio of a central nozzle positioned at the center of the nozzle line. With respect to image data of a second color different from the first color, halftone processing is performed using a dither mask that realizes a second nozzle ejection ratio in which a difference between the nozzle ejection ratio of the end nozzles and the nozzle ejection ratio of the central nozzle is smaller than that of the first nozzle ejection ratio.
