Abstract:
The objective of the invention is to sufficiently reduce noises in moving images. Each time an input image is inputted, a determination unit determines whether a variation amount in distribution of pixel values between the input image and an output image having been outputted is smaller than a predetermined threshold value. A mixture ratio providing unit provides, as a mixture ratio of the output image in mixing the input image with the output image, a value that is greater, the greater the number of consecutive determinations that the variation amount is smaller than the predetermined threshold value is. Each time an input image is inputted, a mixture unit mixes, on the basis of the provided mixture ratio, the input image with the output image, thereby outputting a new output image.
