Provided is an image processing apparatus comprising a presentation control unit that controls a presentation of an in-focus degree in a target image, which is an image to be processed, on the basis of both a first determination result, which is a determination result of the in-focus degree on a pixel-by-pixel basis in the target image, and a second determination result, which is a determination result of the in-focus degree on an area-by-area basis in the target image.
