Abstract:
In order to make a user aware of an effect caused by processing the content or use method of which the user does not know and to promote use of such processing, an image processing apparatus 1 is provided with: a subject recognition circuit 5 that recognizes the type of a subject present in an input image; a memory circuit 3 that stores a plurality of pieces of processing instruction data indicating the contents of processing to be performed on the input image; a processing-instruction-data acquisition circuit 6 that acquires, from the memory circuit 3, pieces of processing instruction data predefined in accordance with the type of the subject recognized by the subject recognition circuit 5; a processing-instruction-data determination circuit 7 that calculates, for each of the acquired pieces of processing instruction data, an invalidity level indicating the degree of inappropriateness to the input image, and that selects a predetermined number of pieces of processing instruction data of which the invalidity level is lower than or equal to a predetermined threshold; and an image processing circuit 8 that processes the input image using the selected predetermined number of pieces of processing instruction data.
