Abstract:
Information that indicates contents of a plurality of elements contained in a structured document, in which each of the plurality of elements is defined by a hierarchical structure, is acquired. Then, any one or more elements out of the plurality of elements contained in the structured document are selected based on the contents of the plurality of elements, the contents being indicated by the acquired information. Then, the selected elements are outputted in such a manner as to be distinguishable from the other elements. Note that each element contained in the structured document is selectable in each of a plurality of hierarchy levels, and those elements that are selected in any one of the plurality of hierarchy levels are outputted in such a manner as to be distinguishable from the other elements. Thereby, selection of appropriate elements from the plurality of elements contained in the structured document, and output thereof are made possible.
