Abstract:
Provided is a technology which makes it possible both to protect privacy of a person whose image has been taken by a camera, and to easily check whether or not the camera is properly operating. The image processing apparatus is provided with: an image compressing unit which acquires compressed image information by compressing image information outputted by the camera, and outputs the compressed image information thus acquired; an image analyzing unit which acquires analysis information by analyzing the image information outputted by the camera, and outputs the analysis information thus acquired; an output switching unit which outputs, as output information, either the compressed image information outputted by the image compressing unit or the analysis information outputted by the image analyzing unit; and an output unit which outputs to another apparatus the output information outputted by the output switching unit.
