Abstract:
Provided is an image processing apparatus which generates a shading three-dimensional image from which skin is removed.
A CPU (101) of the image processing apparatus (100) calculates a differential value between a target voxel and voxels therearound, the power of the differential value, a standard deviate, and a secondary value such as a variance value from a voxel value of a voxel on a projection line that is incident on volume data constituted of a plurality of tomographic images. The CPU (101) sets an opacity in accordance with the secondary value derived from the voxel value, and generates the shading three-dimensional image by performing a volume rendering process on the basis of the opacity. For example, a region where the differential value is large is regarded as a skin region, and the opacity of the skin region is set to be small from the histogram of the differential value.
