Abstract:
An image processing device according to an embodiment of the present invention carries out, upon source image data which is obtained from an image capture element by photography using an optical assembly, a restoration process using a restoration filter based on a point spread function of the optical assembly, obtaining recovered image data. The restoration filter (combination filter, realized filter (Fr)) which is used in this restoration process is generated by a combination of a plurality of base filters (Fb). It is possible to select the base filters (Fb) as appropriate from filters which are pre-verified as being efficacious in preventing image quality degradation.
