Title:
IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE CAPTURE DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/012040
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are an image processing device, an image capture device, and image processing method, and a program, whereby, while alleviating either image quality degradation caused by brightness levels in a photographic subject image or image quality degradation caused by photography conditions affecting brightness levels in a photographic image, it is possible to carry out a restoration process with good precision based on a point spread function. A logarithmic process (gamma correction process) is carried out on raw image data (S11), and a luminance distribution of the raw image data acquired (S12). On the basis of a characteristic of a luminance value greater than or equal to a first threshold among the luminance distribution of the raw image data, a determination is made as to whether the luminance distribution of the raw image data corresponds to a high luminance scene (highlight scene) which is biased toward a high luminance side (S13). According to the result of the determination (Yes/No in S13), the restoration process based on a point spread function of an optical system is controlled (S14, S15). A restoration filter which is used in the restoration process is formed from a filter coefficient corresponding to the image data prior to the logarithmic process.
