Abstract:
In an image processing device according to the present invention, a control unit controls cancelling of functional limitations relating to an image processing unit on the basis of the result of authentication in which second biometric information input to an input unit is compared with first biometric information saved in a memory. The image processing device can also control cancelling of functional limitations relating to the image processing unit on the basis of the result of authentication in which first biometric information of a first user, imported from another image processing device in response to an input of information identifying the first user, is compared with second biometric information of the first user. Alternatively or in addition, the image processing device can also export second biometric information of a first user to another image processing device, receive the result of authentication based on the second biometric information of the first user from the other image processing device, and control cancelling of functional limitations relating to the image processing unit on the basis of the received authentication result.
