Abstract:
Provided are an image processing device, a display device, an image pickup device, and an image processing method and program that enable comfortable viewing for a user when video is being played, even if a field-of-view region is suddenly changed during video image pickup, due to image pickup screen changing operations such as panning or tilting. An image processing unit comprises the following: a determination unit for determining whether the field-of-view during image pickup has changed, on the basis two images corresponding to image data items which are temporally close and are input from the outside; and a control unit for, if the determination unit determined that the field-of-view region changed during image pickup, generating and outputting control image data for which a viewable amount of information included in the image is controlled.
