Abstract:
This image processing device contains a degradation level detection unit (200), a correction coefficient calculation unit (201), and an adaptive tone correction unit (202). The degradation level detection unit (200) detects the level of degradation of image quality for every region of a predetermined size in image data. The correction coefficient calculation unit (201) calculates a correction coefficient for tone correction for every region of the image data. The adaptive tone correction unit (202) performs adaptive tone correction in accordance with the level of degradation of the image data on the basis of the level of degradation detected by the degradation level detection unit (200) and the correction coefficient calculated by the correction coefficient calculation unit (201).
