Abstract:
An image processing device separates a captured image into the region of an object ((B) 1001B) and the region of an object ((A) 1001A) smaller in distance indicated by depth information than a first region. An extended region ((B) 5001B) is generated by duplicating pixels included in the object ((B) 1001B) and present around the boundary with the object ((A) 1001A) before the separation into an area around the boundary in the outward direction of the object ((B) 1001B). A blurring process is then performed on the extended region ((B) 5001B) and the region of the object ((A) 1001A) according to the distance indicated in the depth information of the region of the object ((A) 1001A). After the blurring process, for each of the pixels constituting the extended region ((B) 5001B), the value of the each of the pixels and the value of a pixel present at the position corresponding to the each of the pixels in the region of the object ((A) 1001A) are combined.
