Abstract:
Provided is a technology for identifying a blood vessel forming a path from the aorta to a tumor or the like, by image-processing a tomographic three-dimensional image of an imaging subject. The provided image processing device is characterized by having: an image formation unit for creating an entire region serving as three-dimensional image data from a plurality of tomographic images; a principal-region extraction unit for extracting a principal region connected to the aorta from the entire region; an aorta-region extraction unit for extracting an aorta region expressing only the aorta from the principal region; an affected-area region extraction unit for obtaining an affected-area region containing the affected area from the entire region; and a target-blood-vessel extraction unit for obtaining a target blood-vessel region connecting the affected-area region and the aorta region to one another.
