Disclosed are an image processing device (11), a display device (12), and an image capture and display device (10) and method. The image processing device (11) comprises a lens (114), a luminance level acquirer (115), a memory (113), and a processor (112). The luminance level acquirer (115) is used to acquire luminance levels of one color of each pixel of an image based on an amount of light incident upon a normal lens. The processor (112) is used to acquire the maximum luminance level of each color of each pixel of the image. When the maximum luminance level is less than a preset luminance level, the processor (112) controls the lens (114) to increase the amount of incident light based on the amount of light incident upon the normal lens. The luminance level acquirer (115) is further used to reacquire a luminance level of the color of each pixel of the image based on the increase in the amount of light incident upon the lens. The processor (112) is further used to convert the luminance level of the color of each pixel of the image reacquired by the luminance level acquirer (115) into N-bit gray-level data and to acquire a luminance level improvement index of the image colors.
