Abstract:
 Provided are an image processing device, an image processing method, and an endoscope system that make it possible to display to an operator, in real time, deep tissue and superficial blood vessels enhanced to improve the visibility thereof. An image processing device according to one embodiment of the present technology is provided with an enhancement processing unit, and said enhancement processing unit performs enhancement processing of a low-frequency component that is a region in which the spatial frequency is lower than a predetermined spatial frequency in an input image, performs enhancement processing of a high-frequency component that is a region in which the spatial frequency is higher than in the low-frequency component in the input image, and outputs the input image in which both the low-frequency component and the high-frequency component have been subjected to enhancement processing.
