Abstract:
A degree of similarity calculation unit (112) calculates the degree of similarity between the pixel value of a pixel of interest and the pixel value of reference pixels in an input image, and the degree of similarity between the pixel value of the pixel of interest and the average value of the pixel values of multiple reference pixels. A weight coefficient calculation unit (113) calculates a weight coefficient on the basis of the calculated degrees of similarity. A weighted average value calculation unit (114) uses the calculated weight coefficient to calculate a weighted average value for the pixel value of the reference pixels and a weighted average value for the average value of the pixel values of the reference pixels. A subtraction unit (115) calculates the pixel value of the pixel of interest and the weighted average value for the pixel value of the reference pixels. A degree of isolation calculation unit (116) calculates a degree of isolation on the basis of the calculated difference values. A correction unit (120) corrects the pixel of interest on the basis of the calculated degree of isolation.
