Abstract:
An image processing device (5), which corrects every pixel of an input image signal (Xin) and outputs a corrected image signal (Xout), is provided with a filter means (2) for acquiring and outputting brightness distributions of a pixel subjected to the correction and its surrounding pixels, a correction gain calculating means (3) for acquiring a correction gain of the pixel subjected to the correction from the output of the filter means (2), an arithmetic operation means (4) for carrying out an arithmetic operation for every pixel of the input image signal by using the correction gain acquired by the correction gain calculating means (3). This simple structure can improve properly a dynamic range of the input image.
