Abstract:
The present invention pertains to an image processing device, an image processing method and a program that enable icons and the like, which are intended to be handled as 3D icons, to be superimposed more quickly. A primary processing unit superimposes first superimposition data among a plurality of superimposition data retained in advance on a first viewpoint image acquired from a first viewpoint. A secondary processing unit superimposes the first superimposition data among the plurality of superimposition data retained in advance on a second viewpoint image obtained from a second viewpoint, which differs from the first viewpoint, in synchronization with the primary processing unit. A 3D image generating unit generates a 3D image composed of the superimposed first viewpoint image and the superimposed second viewpoint image. The present invention can be used in an image processing device that generates 3D images, for example.
