Abstract:
The present invention pertains to an image processing device, an image processing method, and a program that enable images to be synthesized in such a manner that there is no sense of incongruity. A high-precision marker detection unit and a high-sensitivity marker detection unit each detect markers projected on an image using different detection methods. The high-precision marker detection unit detects the positions and orientations of the markers with greater precision. The high-sensitivity marker detection unit detects the markers with less precision than the high-precision marker detection unit, and places emphasis on detecting the markers so as to detect the positions of the markers in a highly sensitive manner. A detection result selection unit selects the optimal detection results from a plurality of detection results. The present invention can be applied to an image processing device that replaces markers with other images, for example.
