Abstract:
Provided are an image processing device and method and a program that can detect inconsistencies between the colors of an original image and printed matter. An image processing device (10) acquires first read image data (24) obtained by reading printed matter (22) using an image reading unit (12). The image processing device (10) comprises: an image mapping unit (14) that maps the positional relationship between original image data (20) of the printed matter (22) and read image data which is the first read image data (24) or second read image data obtained by color converting the first read image data (24); a statistical processing unit (16) that generates statistical information which reflects the distribution of the read image-signal values of the read image data, for every read-image-data image region corresponding to image regions of the original image data (20) which have the same original image signal value; and an inconsistency detection unit (18) that detects inconsistencies between the colors of the original image data (20) and the printed matter (22) on the basis of the statistical information.
