Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a modification unit for modifying the threshold value of the brightness at each point in an image; a first display control unit for performing control so as to display points that include brightness values at a threshold value or greater each instance the threshold value is modified by the modification unit; a receiving section for receiving specification of one or more predetermined areas in a displayed image on the basis of user operation; a fixing unit for fixing the threshold value of each point in the specified predetermined areas to the threshold value produced by the modification unit at the time the predetermined areas were specified; and a second display control unit for, when one or more predetermined areas are present in the image, performing control that displays, among the points in the predetermined areas, points that include a brightness value at the threshold value or greater fixed by the fixing unit, and, among the points outside the predetermined areas, points that include a brightness value at the threshold value or greater modified by the modification unit.
