Abstract:
[Problem] To enable a stereoscopic image and an extended depth-of-field image to be switched and observed depending on the situation. [Solution] An image processing device according to the present disclosure is provided with: an image capturing situation acquiring unit that acquires information regarding the image capturing situation for a left eye image or a right eye image; and a determining unit that determines, depending on the information regarding the image capturing situation, whether to perform stereoscopic image processing on the left eye image or the right eye image, or to perform two-dimensional extended depth-of-field processing on at least one of the left eye image and the right eye image. This configuration enables the stereoscopic image and the extended depth-of-field image to be switched and observed depending on the situation.
