Provided are an image processing device and method that make it possible to remove reflection component light from images photographed in various directions. The present invention includes: an image input unit that obtains at least three kinds of images consisting of polarized images having different polarization directions or a non-polarized image; an angle input unit that outputs reflection angles to an intensity-transmittance and intensity-reflectivity calculating unit, the reflection angles being angles formed by the photographing directions of the obtained images and a face direction corresponding to the normal direction of a reflection face; a calculating unit that calculates the individual intensity transmittances and intensity reflectivities of an S-wave and a P-wave by applying the reflection angles; and a reflection-component separating unit that removes reflection light components from the images obtained by the image input unit by applying the individual intensity transmittances and intensity reflectivities of the S-wave and the P-wave. These processing steps make it possible to remove reflection light components from photographed images having various reflection angles.
