Abstract:
In order to improve the speed of a process for calculating pixel color that uses data for calculating the color of each location in a region, this image processing device: determines, for each divided region of a display region, pixel groups comprising multiple pixels overlapping a two-dimensional region; allocates the pixels belonging to the multiple pixel groups to any one of multiple processing groups each of which is able to include a prescribed number of rows or less of pixels; calculates in parallel the color of each pixel belonging to the processing groups, on the basis of color calculation information stored in a memory; and outputs image data on the basis of the calculated colors. In the aforementioned allocation the pixels are allocated to the multiple processing groups such that, for each pixel group, the number of processing groups to which the pixels belonging to the pixel group are allocated is the necessary minimum number.
