Abstract:
An image processing device according to the present invention is provided with: a base component extraction unit for extracting a base component from image components included in a video signal; a component adjustment unit for performing component adjustment for the base component in such a manner that a proportion of the base component to the image components becomes larger as the brightness of an image corresponding to the video signal increases; and a detail component extraction unit for extracting a detail component by using the image components and the base component which has been subjected to the component adjustment by the component adjustment unit.
