Abstract:
The present invention pertains to an image processing device, an image processing method, and a program, with which rectification can be carried out more accurately on a stereo image captured by a plurality of wide-angle cameras. An image processing device according to one aspect of the present technology: acquires a stereo image captured by a plurality of cameras equipped with wide-angle lenses; divides the viewing angles of the cameras by using, as a reference, light axes corrected so as to be parallel to each other; generates a plurality of reference images and a plurality of standard images capturing the range of the divided viewing angles, on the basis of the wide-angle images constituting the stereo image; carries out a projection transformation on each reference image; and calculates the distance to a prescribed object on the basis of image pairs corresponding to the plurality of standard images and the plurality of reference images that have undergone projection transformation. The present technology can be applied to vehicle-mounted devices.
