Abstract:
The present invention provides a mechanism that enables generating, even from a photographic object having dense contents, a two-dimensional image suitable for use as a diagnostic image. This image processing device is equipped with: a first generation means which generates a three-dimensional image using an image signal obtained by photographing an object by means of radioactive rays; a second generation means which sets out a projection reference line in the three-dimensional image, performs a projection process with respect to each of multiple projection angles around the projection reference line, by projecting pixel values of the three-dimensional image toward the projection reference line, and generates multiple sets of projection data at the multiple projection angles; and a third generation means which generates a two-dimensional image by arranging the multiple sets of projection data in a two-dimensional array on the basis of the multiple projection angles.
