Abstract:

An objective of the present invention is to provide an image processing device, image processing method, and image processing program capable of appropriately correcting contrast even for an image wherein a reflectance amplitude varies for each local area of the image. Provided is an image processing device comprising a signal strength extraction part, a periphery region reference value computation part, and a degree of enhancement determination part. With a signal strength being defined as the reflectance in an input image inputted into the image processing device, and a small region being defined as a region that is a portion of the input image formed from at least one pixel: the signal strength extraction part extracts the signal strength of the input image; the periphery region reference value computation part computes a periphery region reference value on the basis of the signal strength of a periphery region positioned on the periphery of the small region of interest; and the degree of enhancement determination part determines a degree of enhancement of the signal strength so as to increase the signal strength of the small region (where the degree of enhancement is monotonically non-decreasing with regard to the difference between the periphery region reference value and a prescribed value).
