Abstract:
An image processing device (100) includes: a saturated region detection unit (140); a dynamic range control unit (150); and a shutter control unit (170). The saturated region detection unit (140) obtains imaging data from an infrared imaging element that captures a thermal image of the surroundings of a moving body, and detects the presence of a saturated region in the imaging data. The dynamic range control unit (150) sets, according to the saturated region detection result, a dynamic range of the infrared imaging element to a first temperature range, or to a second temperature range in which at least the temperature on an upper limit value side is higher than that of the first temperature range. The shutter control unit (170) controls, on the basis of the saturated region detection result and the dynamic range setting, the opening/closing of a shutter for protecting the infrared imaging element.
